Get in Touch

This is a private reference site, not a Cache County or Utah government office. We cannot confirm custody or release, free anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible agency below for those services.

Find the Responsible Records Office

The office that created or controls the record is the best source. Cache County Jail handles current physical custody and local departure questions. Sheriff Records processes written requests for maintained jail records. Utah Department of Corrections handles state-prison and current AP&P records, while the Board publishes parole decisions. Court, federal, and immigration questions follow their own systems.

Cache County Jail and Sheriff Complex

1225 West Valley View (200 North)
Logan, UT 84321
Sheriff main: (435) 755-1000
Booking and inmate information: (435) 755-1227

Use the inmate-information line to ask whether someone is physically held now, whether a departure has been processed, and whether another agency assumed custody.

Cache County Sheriff Records

1225 West Valley View (200 North)
Logan, UT 84321
Email: recordsrequest@cachesheriff.gov
Published office hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Confirm office days and holiday closures before visiting. The Sheriff Records Request page provides the official submission route. Its form lists jail records at $10 per 25 pages, prorated. Inspection is free when feasible within a reasonable time and requires an appointment. Published methods are cash, credit card, or money order, with no personal checks.

The office states that records are supplied as soon as reasonably possible, with up to ten working days allowed. Active reports remain unavailable until cleared. Records left uncollected for 60 days are destroyed without a refund. Fees, classification, and releasable content depend on the request, so verify current terms before paying.

Utah Corrections and Parole

Logan Adult Probation and Parole, Region 2
775 W 1000 N, Suite 120
Logan, UT 84321
435-713-6240

General AP&P: 801-545-5908
Board hearing and decision help: 801-261-6464
UDC VINE: 1-877-884-8463

Use the UDC GRAMA portal for state corrections records. Utah law permits reasonable actual-cost fees under §63G-2-203; research found no flat official prison-photo fee. For current supervision, start with the Logan office. For a parole order, use the Board’s published decision search or records-help number.

Cache County Court and Federal Custody

First District Court, Cache County
135 N 100 W
Logan, UT 84321
435-750-1300

U.S. Marshals Service, District of Utah
351 S West Temple, Suite 4-200
Salt Lake City, UT 84101-1949
801-907-2501

A court record can explain a release order, dismissal, sentence, probation term, or warrant, but the jail confirms physical departure. The Marshals Service does not offer a public historical inmate locator like BOP, so federal pretrial or transport records may require direct contact or FOIA.

Choose the route that matches the custody question:

  • For a released person or local release record, the home page lays out the full Cache County search and Sheriff record-request sequence.
  • For community supervision, check Parole / Probation, then contact Logan AP&P or the Board as the status requires.
  • For a same-day release question, use Released Last 24 Hours, which explains why Cache County’s phone and records fallback is necessary.
  • For a future date or alert, compare the Inmate Release Date process with the VINELink Release Check.
  • For Cache County Jail details, use the facility page listed in the footer and confirm current rules with the jail.
  • For a Utah state prisoner, search the official UDC Offender Search and request historic records from UDC.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator; an ICE transfer is not a Cache County community release.
